Upcoming Training Intensives: Hatha Yoga Levels 1 and 2 in the Spring
Dates to be announced soon......

Lithe and Easy offers a variety of learning opportunities:

Training Intensives
The Intensive Program is structured in tiers that may be 'stand alone' certifications or foundations to be built upon as interest and need develops.
The program is under the direction of Virginia Williamson and reflects a classical teaching approach, firmly rooted in the teachings of Patanjali as specified in the Yoga Sutras and strongly connected to the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, the source of many of the contemporary methods of Yoga practice.
Each Intensive covers these topics in level-appropriate depth:
Philosophy, Physical & Subtle Anatomy, Self-Practice, Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Ayurveda and Miscellaneous topics required for entering the field at a professional level.

Tuition:
$400 per Intensive includes certification, supervision, evaluations of homework assignments, observation & assessment of class or classes taught by you, discounts for future Intensives, Workshops, Retreats and special classes.

Tuition fee does not include additional asana classes, study sessions or cost of books on required reading list.

Books:
Required titles must be purchased or borrowed by you prior to commencement of Training Intensive.

Sunday Study Sessions and Workshops
Sunday Study Sessions are offered periodically throughout the year.
Specific topics are chosen for close study and discussion.
Study materials are always provided. Fees range from $10-$15 per session.
Workshops fees vary.

Study and Certification opportunities may be taken by current teachers, potential teachers and students who have no intention of teaching, yet wish to deepen their understanding and practice of Yoga.

Mentorship
We also offer a Mentorship Program with Virginia Williamson. Yoga certification and/or teaching experience is required for participation in the Mentorship Program.
Each monthlong commitment includes: Study Sessions, Supervisory Meetings, Observations, Assisting and Practice Teaching. Fees: $100 per Month.
There are additional fees for Asana Classes and program participants are required to attend at least 4 during the month.

Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship is still being offered. This is one of the most traditional ways to learn a skill, providing on-the-job training simultaneously with deep study and practice.
Pre-requisite: the Hatha Yoga Level 1 Training/Certification.
Apprenticeship involves long-term commitment on the parts of both the student and the teacher. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. Fees for training are significantly reduced over the apprenticeship period, however, time and energy requirements are more stringent.

Non-contact hours consist of homework, self-study and self-practice.
Upon completion of each level, a certificate is awarded.

An opportunity for practice teaching is available as an extra-credit option.

All levels will receive constructive evaluations of Practice Teaching.

Completion of all four levels of training entitles teacher to be certified as Acharya - the traditional title for a teacher of Yoga.
Prerequisites: Satisfactory completion of all of the above.

30 contact hours per intensive; 15 observation hours; 30 practicum hours and at least 35 hours of self-study/practice equals 200 hours of training.
